No Tomorrow

LP + Download code
STATUES ON FIRE release their new album “No Tomorrow” in July. The band was formed in São Paulo, Brasil in 2013 with ex-member of Nitrominds and Musica Diablo (Metal Project with Derrick Green from Sepultura). Their debut album “Phoenix” came out in 2014 on vinyl, with two tours in Europe following (2014/2015). The upcoming album tour is already announced for October 2016. „Phoenix“ had a huge impact when it was released, sometimes metal, most of the time melodic core/punk rock and got elected as the best independent album of the year (2014) in Brazil. Most often used references are bands like Propagandhi and Strike Anywhere. The band worked once again with Marcello Pompeu and Heros Trench, Grammy nominated producers in Brazil, also front man and guitar player of the famous metal band, Korzus. You gonna hear tons of SG’s and Marshall plexi in your ears, promised! „No Tomorrow“ proves the band’s development of their own punk rock style. You can hear catchy and powerful songs combined with heavy riffing and great songwriting. The lyrics are based on their view of society and human relationships, the album title explains itself.

Statues On Fire from São Paulo play together since last year only, but founding members Andre and Lalo have written punk rock history with their former band Nitrominds in the last 18 years. Andre, the tour manager of Ratos de Porão, is running another project with Derrick of Sepultura called Musica Diablo. He’s also good friend with Wick Bambix. One reason why the Dutch band has been playing Brazil and the Nitrominds in Europe so many times. “Phoenix” is a great mix of fast forward punk rock, melodic hardcore and a slice of Metal. If you ask for comparisons: Propagandhi meets Dag Nasty and Sucidal Tendencies. 11 songs in ca. 40 minutes, with fantastic guitars and great hooklines, hard & heavy sound combined with catchy melodies. Limited vinyl, with printed inner sleeves and download codes.
