Playing three-chord Punk Rock that doesn't sound cheap, dull and uninspired is certainly hard to do - everyone who has ever tried it will second that. But nevertheless, with only two (!) band members, Biestig succeed in doing exactly what generations of young punks tried to do with writing millions of "Nazis Out!" or "Fuck the System" songs. The message of Biestig is straight, the lyrics clever and tough. Listen to Jule and Anne sing about being in love, a lazy boyfriend or boring everyday-life - normal topics, but in their words anything but superficial. This is not manufactured or artificial punk, no ghost writers here! Having such a flair for song writing at the age of 16 is nearly unbelievable.
