The Bottrops
| LP
After Archi Alert leaving Terrorgruppe the rest of the boys found Bang Bang Benno as their new singer by the end of 2005. They spent some months in the rehearsal room and put out a bunch of great new songs on the 'Unterhund' EP which was only released in the net in 2006 but highly recommended. The new album presents a great mixture of garage, powerpop and punkrock with fantastic riffing and fine melodies to sing along. The Bottrops are not only a follow up project as they have different approaches. It's not about irony and sarcasm but the boys are heading for straight socio-political steatements, less skate punk and melodycore but more classic punk and indie sounds concentrated on the basics.

Entertainment Overkill | LP
A great mixture of London punk rock, English power pop of the New Wave and Mod generation and melodic Los Angeles beach punk. They call their sound Bottropop, mixing musical quotes and influences of bands like Adolescents, Buzzcocks, The Jam, Wipers, All/Descendents, Male, KFC… The Bottrops are not only a follow up project of the legendary Terrorgruppe as they have different approaches. It's not about irony and sarcasm like in the older times but the boys are heading for straight socio-political statements. Vinyl comes with a four page insert, on which more than 20 punk authors, slam poets, illustrators and comic strip artists put down short stories for each album song.
